Light yellow crystals;Soluble in water; insoluble in ethanol; No fixed melting point. Begin to lose crystalline water when heated at 50℃, becomes anhydrous substance at 81.5℃ and decomposed at 435℃ . |
Application: |
Mainly used as important raw material for pharmaceutical, pigment, tannage, metallurgy and chemical industries. Used in producing iron blue and potassium ferricyanide; Carburization treating for carbon steel; Removing iron and acting as oxidant in pharmaceutical; Used as food additive, explosive and chemical reagent; Also used as additive for preventing agglomeration in melting snow in winter. |
